Before going to Amsterdam last month, I was told two of the beverages you have to try while visiting is Mint Tea and Dutch Coffee. (also to try their chocomel-similiar in taste to the yahoo drink-if you’re from the States.) I thought to myself why not? It will be good material for you all to read for the blog, hopefully some great material! So on my first day near the Singelgracht (the Belt Canal in English) I stopped by a bagel place for lunch-nothing too special, a bagel with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I noticed it said mint tea on the menu, so I ordered that too, as a take out order. (they say ‘to stay or take out” as oppose to “for here or to go” as I’m used to hearing!)

Coffee Culture: Italy

Tutto è possibile dopo il caffè-Everything is possible after coffee- and it certainly feels that way after having a cup of coffee in Italy. Even those who aren’t big fans, after having one sip of it in Italy, all is forgiven. Even from an seemingly, nothing special corner cafe there, the coffee is delicious and of better quality than what is generally served in America.
